The citadel or fort in the village of Fortan, located 110 kilometers south-east of Isfahan, was built about 1100 years ago. The historic castle is 5 hectares wide and has been used for making mud and mud. The northern and southern barrows are approximately 250 meters long. The number of tower towers was 14, one of them and part of the castle fence was damaged due to the flood and deflection of the Zayander River.
This citadel has two northern and southern gates and has several historic buildings, the most important of which are 3 mosques, one bath, two Khaneshan fortresses and a bazaar.
